Anniversary Concert Honors Milestones of Turkiye, ITU and IUS

Anniversary Concert

As part of the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkiye, a 100th Anniversary Concert took place in the Army Hall in Sarajevo on Friday, January 26, 2024.

The program was a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkiye and Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Turkish Music State Conservatory, with support from the Embassy of Turkiye in Sarajevo, Yunus Emre Institute, and the International University of Sarajevo (IUS).

In addition to celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye, the event also marked the 250th anniversary of Istanbul Technical University, one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Turkiye, and the 20th anniversary of IUS, the first foundation university in Bosnia and Herzegovina. These universities established a Double Diploma program, allowing students to spend the first and second years at IUS and the third and fourth years at ITU. Upon graduation, students receive two diplomas. Besides the existing study programs: Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Economy and Electronics and Communication Engineering, This Double Diploma program has recently been expanded to include two additional study programs: Computer Engineering and Bioengineering.
