During the period from 8th to 12th of May, 2014, the Association of Architecture students of IUS and Association of Students of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Sarajevo organized the 12th Architecture student Congress from all countries of ex-Yugoslavia. The Congress was also organized in cooperation with the International University of Sarajevo.
Sarajevo is the city that even after years of destruction during the war kept its visual identity and original architectural expression. Therefore, at the Congress of 2014, students had the opportunity to work on the theme: "Towards urban transformation: Animation of urban ruins" all in accordance with the trends in the world of architectural design, but also with the urban morphology of Sarajevo.
The workshops and exhibitions have been visited by more than 120 students from all architectural faculties from ex-Yugoslavia (Ljubljana, Maribor, Zagreb, Split, Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Podgorica, Skoplje, Novi Sad, Novi Pazar, Belgrade, Niš and Kosovska Mitrovica) at many locations in the center of Sarajevo. Withing these presentations, The importance of this scientific-professional gathering lies in the fact that it is completely organized by students which promote the scientific and expert thought through work on specific topics in certain fields.
