On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jasmin Šutković, Acting Dean of the IUS Faculty of Medical Sciences, visited the Reis Džemaludin-ef. Čaušević Madrasa in Cazin.
The IUS delegation was welcomed by Madrasa Director Prof. Zuhdija Handanović and Prof. Harun Pajić, Assistant Director for the Dormitories. The meeting was also attended by Hafiz Mehmed-ef. Kudić, Mufti of Bihać, who expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the Madrasa and IUS and emphasized the importance of connecting educational institutions and creating new opportunities for young people.
The discussions focused on the continuation and further development of the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions, with particular attention to education and opportunities for Madrasa graduates to continue their studies.
For many years, graduates of the Reis Džemaludin-ef. Čaušević Madrasa have enrolled in various study programs at IUS, creating a strong and lasting connection between the two institutions. The meeting therefore also explored ways to further strengthen this cooperation and provide additional opportunities for future generations of students.
Both sides expressed their readiness to continue building on the existing partnership and to develop new forms of cooperation that can support students in their academic and professional development.
