On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the IUS English Language School (ELS) organized its traditional English Language Competition for primary and secondary school students from the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton at the Second Primary School in Konjic.
The competition was organized and conducted by a dedicated team of eight ELS professors: Mersiha Hamidović, Dževida Zlatić, Elvedina Omeragić, Jasmina Posković, Edvin Krijestarac, Arnela Kučinar, Mirha Neimarlija, and Iris Pohara, whose professionalism and commitment contributed greatly to the successful realization of the event.
This well-established educational event brought together around 80 students, offering them an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, language proficiency, and communication skills. Year after year, the competition continues to confirm its value as a platform that promotes academic excellence and encourages continuous learning among young people.
Special appreciation is extended to the Principal of the Second Primary School in Konjic, Ms. Munevera Tinjak, as well as to the Director of the Pedagogical Institute of Mostar, Ms. Enisa Gološ, whose continued support played an important role in the successful organization of the competition.
The event was held in a positive and motivating atmosphere, marked by a high level of organization and professionalism. Initiatives like this make an important contribution to strengthening cooperation among educational institutions and supporting the improvement of foreign language education.
