IUS Explores Collaborative Opportunities at Bona Dea Health Center

Bona Dea Health Center

On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the Rector of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Altijana Hromić-Jahjefendić, visited the Bona Dea Health Center in Sarajevo. They were welcomed by Dr. Ali Mesut and Dr. Nursen Mesut, who provided a comprehensive tour of the clinic and detailed insights into their trials. Under the leadership of Dr. Ali Mesut, a specialist in gynecology and reproductive health, and Dr. Nursen Mesut, a senior embryologist, the clinic has achieved significant success in assisting couples facing infertility challenges.

The primary focus of this visit was to explore potential collaborations for the Genetics and Bioengineering (GBE) study program at IUS. Discussions centered on opportunities for joint scientific publications, student internships, and the organization of specialized workshops. Such a partnership aims to enhance practical training for students and foster advancements in reproductive health research.

IUS is committed to providing a supportive and evolving learning environment for its students. Collaborations with esteemed institutions like Bona Dea are part of IUS's strategy to offer students practical experience and exposure to real-world applications in their fields of study.

This initiative reflects a shared dedication to advancing education and healthcare, benefiting both students and the broader community.
