On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa, Rector of Kayseri University, paid an official visit to the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), where he was welcomed by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı.
During the meeting, the two rectors discussed opportunities to strengthen academic and institutional cooperation between the two universities, with a particular focus on areas that can create new opportunities for students and academic staff.
The visit concluded with the signing of a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a framework for future collaboration between IUS and Kayseri University.
The agreement is expected to support the development of joint academic and research initiatives, student and staff mobility, as well as the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two institutions.
The meeting also reaffirmed the shared commitment of both universities to expanding international cooperation and developing concrete projects that can contribute to academic exchange and stronger institutional ties.
IUS looks forward to further developing its partnership with Kayseri University and to translating the newly signed agreement into meaningful academic and research opportunities.
