IUS and IMBiH Forge a New Partnership for Research and Innovation

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the privilege of hosting a delegation from the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBiH), led by Director Mr. Milica Ristović-Krstić and Prof. Dr. Zijad Džemić, along with their colleagues. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Research, Prof. Dr. Kanita Karađuzović-Hadžiabdić, Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadžiabdić, and RDC Acting Manager Ms. Šejla Džakmić.

This meeting provided an opportunity to exchange information about the institutions and explore the opportunities of their collaboration. Discussions centered on possibilities for joint research and academic partnerships, fostering stronger connections between the university and the industrial sector, the verification of laboratories at the IUS Research and Development Center, and the facilitation of student internships at IMBiH. Delegation also visited RDC laboratories and got introduced into current conditions and research opportunities.

During the visit, the IUS Rector and the IMBiH Director signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the first step toward formal collaboration between the two institutions. Both parties expressed their dedication to strengthening their partnership and enhancing cooperation, with a shared goal of improving students' practical knowledge and advancing research development.
