The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is proud to be among the first institutions participating in the Community Accelerator – a new pilot program launched by the Academy of Management (AOM) - the world’s leading professional association for scholars of management and organization. This initiative is part of AOM’s broader effort to build a more inclusive and connected academic community by engaging scholars who may not have previously had opportunities to participate in its global network.
This marks a significant milestone for IUS, and the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) will serve as the official representative of the university in this collaboration, including coordination of joint activities, overseeing engagement with the AOM network, and promoting academic development across the university.
Our students and researchers will gain direct access to AOM’s journals and professional development resources in the field of management and organizational studies. Through this partnership, FBA will host annual academic development workshops with AOM’s support, including sessions on publishing in top-tier journals and preparing successful conference submissions. Faculty and students will also benefit from mentorship programs, career resources, and leadership training specially designed for emerging scholars.
In addition, faculty and students will take part in regional research groups, knowledge-sharing platforms, and editorial initiatives, enhancing our visibility and impact across the global academic landscape. This partnership strengthens our position as a dynamic academic institution committed to global standards and scholarly collaboration.
In reflecting on the value of this partnership, FBA Dean Dr. Emil Knezović shared:
“I hope this agreement serves everyone’s interests, especially our MA and PhD students actively seeking knowledge, mentorship, and international research connections. With AOM’s support, we create new pathways for our academic community to grow, connect, and lead.”
We look forward to the many collaborative projects, learning opportunities, and research breakthroughs emerging from this exciting new chapter.
