Entrepreneurship in Action: FBA Students Learn from Mozaik Experts

Visit to Mozaik Foundation

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, students enrolled in the MAN303 Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management course at the IUS Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Azra Bičo, participated in an educational study visit to the Mozaik Foundation. The visit aimed to provide students with real-world exposure to entrepreneurship and business development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The group was warmly welcomed by Ms. Nerma Saračević, Manager for Financial Investment Plans, and Mr. Mirsad Beširević, Business Development Manager, who delivered insightful and engaging presentations. They shared valuable knowledge about the Foundation’s work, practical tips and tricks, and the real-world challenges faced by young entrepreneurs. Additionally, they introduced various funding opportunities available to emerging startups.

A special focus was given to the Tech 4 Impact Fund, an initiative through which the Mozaik Foundation proactively identifies and invests in promising technology startups that align with their mission. The Fund views technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and the Internet of Things not merely as tools, but as transformative forces capable of addressing global issues and contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions and actively engage in discussion, gaining first-hand insights into the entrepreneurial landscape and the critical support mechanisms available to innovators in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This visit served as an excellent opportunity for students to bridge academic knowledge with practical experiences and further deepen their understanding of entrepreneurship in action.
