The performance titled "Game of Thrones" was held at the International University of Sarajevo, on 20th of December 2016, in the lobby of A building. Special guest was the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton, Mr. Elmedin Konaković.
The performance described colorful history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the centuries. "Game of Thrones" is organized by Performance club and EMSA. In addition to acting parts, for which members of the Performance club were responsible, the musical part was also present, accompanied by patriotic songs, performed by EMSA.
After the end of the performance, the Prime Minister Konaković addressed all present. He expressed his satisfaction for calling him to come to our university and enjoy the artistic expressions of our students.
Prime Minister Konaković pointed out that education is the main branch in the community, our future, and that the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina should keep young educated people, not send them to other countries.
After addressing the audience, Rector of IUS Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe hosted the Prime Minister in his office, together with Advisor to and Representative for the Rector Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Ali and Vice-Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Gürsel, where they had a discussion on cooperation between the International University of Sarajevo and the Sarajevo Canton. In the near future we expect the implementation of planned activities, which will lead the IUS to number one in higher education.
Mr. Konaković said:
"Your university is the best example of how a private university can thrive. Young people must grab every opportunity for success. A key success for all is a quality education."
On the overall performance and subject matter that is processed, the Prime Minister Konaković said:
"Thank you for inviting me, I have at least two hours 'escape' from everyday activities and enjoyed with you here, full of positive emotions and melancholy. Bosnia will always be, but we are changing! "
In front of the International University of Sarajevo and clubs, we want to express our satisfaction and gratitude to the Prime Minister Konaković for accepting our invitation, and giving full support to our University, and the results of successful cooperation we will see in the near future.
