On Thursday, January 22, 2026, a highly informative training session organized by the IUS Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) took place at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), titled “Erasmus+ Opportunities in the Field of Higher Education: How to Develop a Competitive Erasmus+ Project Proposal?” The session brought together IUS faculty and staff to explore funding opportunities and best practices for creating competitive Erasmus+ project proposals. The training was delivered by Mr. Suad Muhibić, Head of the National Erasmus+ Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The training covered key aspects of Erasmus+ funding, including lump-sum funding, award criteria, practical tips for proposal writing, and lessons learned from past projects. Mr. Muhibić shared his extensive knowledge and offered valuable insights into various Erasmus+ programs, with a particular focus on Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees and Capacity Building projects.
The Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, welcomed Mr. Muhibić and the participants, underscoring the importance of international collaboration and the university’s ongoing commitment to securing Erasmus+ funding for its academic and research projects.
Following the success of this event, the OSP looks forward to continuing IUS’s active participation in Erasmus+ programs and exploring new opportunities to strengthen its global connections. We express our gratitude to Mr. Muhibić for his expert guidance, the Rector’s support, and to all participants for their engagement in this important training session.
