As part of IUS SDG Week 2026, held from May 18 to May 22, the International University of Sarajevo placed a strong emphasis on interactive workshops, offering students valuable opportunities for practical learning and engagement with sustainability challenges.
Designed to support experiential and practice-based learning, the workshops covered a wide range of topics aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students participated in sessions on data-driven decision-making for sustainable communities, urban transformation, creative recycling, identity and peacebuilding, and AI applications in research.
The workshops encouraged active participation, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world challenges. Additional sessions explored mental health and self-regulation, as well as sustainable creativity techniques, such as nature-based printing practices.
By prioritizing hands-on experience, IUS SDG Week 2026 empowered students to develop practical skills while deepening their understanding of sustainability and its impact across different fields. These activities reflected the University’s commitment to innovative, student-centered education and to fostering future leaders who are equipped to address global challenges.
