IUS RDC Hosted qRT-PCR Workshop for Professors from Medical Faculties Across Bosnia and Herzegovina

RDC at IUS Hosted qRT-PCR Workshop

On Monday, March 23, 2026, the Research and Development Center (RDC) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) hosted the workshop “qRT-PCR – from Sample Preparation to Result Analysis”, organized in cooperation with the company MikroPolo. The workshop was intended for professors from medical faculties across Bosnia and Herzegovina, including participants from the University of Sarajevo, University of Tuzla, University of Banja Luka, and University of Foča.

This event represents the fourth workshop organized at the IUS RDC specifically for university professors, continuing the RDC's mission to support academic collaboration and professional development in the field of biomedical sciences. The workshop was designed as a hands-on training program covering the complete qRT-PCR workflow, from sample preparation to data interpretation, providing participants with practical knowledge and the opportunity to exchange experiences related to modern molecular biology techniques.

The workshop also served as an excellent opportunity for the International University of Sarajevo to strengthen cooperation and help build a network of researchers from different universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through discussion, practical work, and knowledge sharing, participants were able to connect with colleagues, discuss current challenges in research, and explore possibilities for future collaboration.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Assist. Prof. Dr. Lejla Mahmutović and Assistant Abas Sezer, who organized the event and successfully led the workshop, as well as to our partner MikroPolo for their support in making this workshop possible.

The IUS Research and Development Center remains committed to providing opportunities for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking, and we look forward to organizing similar events in the future.
