On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) hosted an engaging workshop for student clubs, organized by the Student and Career Center (SCC) in collaboration with the IUS SDG Executive Committee. The workshop aimed to introduce the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and explore ways students can actively contribute to achieving them within the university and beyond.
The session was led by Assistant Professors Dr. Azra Bičo, Chair of the SDG Executive Committee, and Dr. Özge Büyükdağlı, a committee member. They provided insightful presentations on the significance of the SDGs and practical strategies for incorporating sustainability into student club activities. From addressing climate action and responsible consumption to fostering quality education and gender equality, the discussion covered a wide array of critical topics.
Participants enthusiastically brainstormed ideas, sharing innovative ways to promote sustainability on campus. The workshop concluded on a high note, with students feeling motivated and equipped to turn their ideas into actions. The SDG Executive Committee commended the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment, emphasizing the vital role students play in shaping a sustainable future.
