On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Vesna Suljić, English Language and Literature (ELIT) Program Coordinator, held a masterclass for students in the Academic Writing (ELIT201.1) course, offering valuable insights into the world of academic publishing. Drawing from her own professional and personal experiences, Professor Suljić explained the intricacies of publishing scholarly papers, from research to final publication, and highlighted key nuances in the process.
A standout moment was the discussion of her own paper, In Others’ Words, published in the book Contemporary Debates in Human Rights and Literature: The Idea of Humanity by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This publication underscores her expertise in both human rights and literary studies.
The masterclass was organized by Professor Damir Kahrić, who invited Prof. Suljić. Professor Kahrić’s continuous encouragement inspires his ELIT201.1 students to strive for excellence in academia and publishing, fostering a culture of high academic standards.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Assistant Professor Dr. Vesna Suljić, for her invaluable contribution to the masterclass. Professor Suljić’s distinguished and extensive publication history is a true testament to her commitment to scholarly excellence, and her lecture provided students with practical insights that will greatly benefit their academic journeys.
