The International Institute for Middle-East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES) in Slovenia, organized today, in Ljubljana, a regional promotion of the book titled "Why Iran?" by author Mr. Emir Hadžikadunić, Secretary General of the International University of Sarajevo.
The book was promoted by Dr. Jozef Kunič, the first Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Iran, Dr. Primož Šterbenc, Assistant Professor at the University of Primorska (Kopar) and MA Zijad Bećirović, the director of the IFIMES International Institute. During his presentation, the author of the book emphasized the following:
‘’Writing about Iran objectively or talking about this country without any prejudice wasn’t that simple. There are not so many countries which cause so much global, usually negative publicity, so many different mutually conflicting perceptions, and the impacts from other sides and the fear of the unknown’’. A large number of journalists, analysts as well as representatives of the academic community attended the promotion in Ljubljana.
