On February 27th 2014, at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) discussion panel was held, at which the curriculum of the EU project "Positioning level V qualifications in BiH" was introduced.
Coordinator of this project is the International University of Sarajevo (IUS).
The project aims to improve education in the wood processing industry, as well as a contributing to resolving discrepancy in the labor market and improving social inclusion.
The pilot project, also known as the selected program, in the framework of this EU project is "Programmer on CNC machines." The emphasis of the program is on practical skills that can be offered to participants without additional training, or with minimal training, involved in the production process in companies that will employ them. Teaching curriculum for the occupation "Programmer on CNC machine" was developed by the experts from IUS and representatives of the industry, government and educational institutions who are partners of this project.
Apart from this curriculum, training process for teachers of partner secondary schools is developed for the implementation of this program. IUS partners in the this EU project are the secondary school in Zivinice and the secondary school "Musa Ćazim Ćatić" from Olovo.
Active participants in the project are representatives of government, non-government and other institutions , organizations and companies such as: Delegation of the European Union, Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Labour and employment practice BiH, Federal Ministry of Education and Science, Pedagogical Institute, Ministry of Education, Science, culture and Sport ZDK, the Association of Employers of Bosnia and Herzegovina , EĆO COMPANY d.o.o. , Youth Information Agency of BiH, Chamber of Chambers of Commerce ZDK, GIZ , JU center of Foca High School and the High School of environmental and wood design from Sarajevo.
Coordinator of the "Positioning level V qualification in Bosnia and Herzegovina" is Assist. Prof. Dr. Jasminka Hasić-Telalović, from the Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences at IUS and the other professors involved in the project are: Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadžiabdić, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nermin Oruč, Sen. Assist. Kanita Hadžiabdić and Sen. Assist. Alma Husagić-Selman.
