On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) held a heartfelt welcoming ceremony for students who were awarded full scholarships to pursue their studies at IUS. These bright young individuals earned this opportunity through their exceptional dedication and academic achievements during high school.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanita Karađuzović-Hadžiabdić, IUS Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, warmly addressed the new students and their families. She expressed her joy in welcoming them to the IUS community and emphasized the university’s commitment to high-quality education and academic excellence. Dr. Karađuzović-Hadžiabdić also noted that these future professionals will play a vital role in the continued development and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Among the students, Orhan Hasić, a future Software Engineering major, shared his gratitude for receiving the full scholarship. He highlighted how crucial this support is, explaining that without it, his family would not have been able to finance his education. Orhan spoke about his commitment to self-development throughout high school and expressed his appreciation to both IUS and his high school for recognizing and rewarding his efforts.
