Professors from the Turkish Language and Literature, Teaching (TLT) program at the IUS Faculty of Education (FEDU), Assistant Professor Dr. Dženana Bračković and Senior Professional Associate for Language, Ms. Minela Sinanović – Vefić, actively participated in the 3rd International Symposium on Turkish Language Teaching and Turkology in the Balkans.
Held from November 13-15, 2024, at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), the symposium attracted distinguished Turkology experts from Türkiye and the Balkans. This year’s theme, "City, Culture, and Civilization: Balkans", emphasized the multifaceted elements that shape the culture and civilization of Balkan cities. Discussions spanned topics such as architecture, music, language and literature, social and cultural life, foundation culture, and the arts.
Organized in collaboration with the Balkan Research Centre of the University of New York Tirana, under the auspices of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, the symposium provided a platform for scholars to explore the region's rich historical and cultural fabric, fostering academic exchange and collaboration.
