Over the past weekend, the IUS Lifelong Learning Center – IUS Life, in partnership with the company MICOM BH, successfully organized a weekend course on fiber optics. The course was designed for engineers, technicians, students, and all those interested in modern telecommunications technologies and the application of fiber optics.
Throughout the training, participants acquired practical knowledge and skills, including the application of fiber optics, connecting and splicing optical fibers, measuring optical cables using professional equipment such as OTDR and splicers, as well as testing and maintaining networks.
Experts from MICOM BH delivered interactive sessions, sharing their expertise and extensive professional experience in the installation and maintenance of optical systems. This ensured participants received a strong, hands-on educational experience.
The event also included contributions from representatives of Prokons Ing d.o.o. (Budva) and InstalTeam d.o.o. (Ljubuški), whose involvement added to the overall success of the training.
The enthusiasm and commitment of the participants demonstrated their desire for continuous learning and innovation in the field of telecommunications.
IUS Life announced that similar training programs and technical workshops will continue in the near future. Those who were unable to join this time will have other opportunities to gain valuable practical skills in the fast-growing field of fiber optic technologies.
