On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) took a significant step toward enhancing international collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Information Technology University (IITU) from Kazakhstan.
The agreement was formalized by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım and Mr. Issakhov Assylbek Abdiashimovich, Chairman of the Board-Rector of IITU. The signing ceremony was also attended by IUS Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Research, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanita Karađuzović-Hadžiabdić, and the Manager of the IUS International Relations Office (IRO), Mr. Mugdim Alihodžić.
This MoU paves the way for a dynamic collaboration focused on student and faculty exchange, joint conferences, collaborative research, co-authored publications, and academic initiatives. Areas of cooperation will include media, journalism, information technologies, social sciences, and economics - enriching the academic and cultural experiences for both institutions.
Through this partnership, IUS continues to strengthen its global academic network and foster innovation-driven international engagement.
