On Thursday, November 30, 2023, IUS Architecture (ARCH) study program organized an exhibition commemorating the study trip to the 18th International Architecture Exhibition, titled The Laboratory of the Future, 2023 at the Giardini and the Arsenale, which was curated by Lesley Lokko and organized by La Biennale di Venezia.
The works on display are divided into three different groups of information and respectively deal with slightly different themes still strongly connected with the city itself. The first group explores information and experiences of the historical Venice with the focus on Piazza San Marco and the glorious details of the Venetian gothic façade of the basilica St Marco among other historic buildings and bridges. The second one is focused on the Biennale themed projects seen at the hiving displays of information at the Aresnale and Giardini, showing full potential of the possibilities that the communities of the future have. And the last one is a more relaxed and informal representation of the trip itself, showing the joyful side of the trip. Due to the intensity of colors (achieved through illumination), video representation of the still photographs will additionally underline the vivacious experience at the Biennale and Venice.
The exhibition is curated by Asst. Prof. Leila Krivošić-Dizdarević and Prof. Dr. Meliha Teparić. The following students displayed their work: Anis Šljivo, Sanjin Spaho, Emin Podrug, Erna Ibrahimović, Sumeja Vreco, Kerim Sadiković, Leila Sabljica, Erna Ramović, Tina Vujičić, Aida Jupić, Dženisa Hodžić, Ahmed Emić, Fatih Mujčić, Ilma Mujala, Muhamed Layic, Naeira Barakat, Emrehan Balas, Adnan Sejdić, Merima Bratić, Adna Dervišević, Emina Hadžiabdić, Nađa Halilović, Ajla Beganović, Fatima Magrabi, Amna Neimarlija, Halima-Hana Čačković, Rahela Merušić, Lamija Basarić, Samra Isić, Tahir Kapetanović, Zlata Mujkić, Naida Samjlović, Tajra Sadžak, Adna Zrno, Armin Ribić, Nerma Hodzić, Nadia Kadrić, Arna Karić, Elmin Halilčević, Ammar Omerika, Stefan Tomić.
