On Wednesday, October 1st, 2014, the opening ceremony of the BIT Camp project was held at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). The BIT Camp project is educational character and it is organized in cooperation of the six leading software development companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Program aims at training young professionals in IT industry that is currently required in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures and workshops in the next six months and through individual and group projects simulate the working environment in the leading IT companies in BiH and have the opportunity to acquire know-how. All first-generation students will be offered scholarships in the amount of 7,000 KM and provided employment in one of the IT companies who are members of the BIT Alliance.
Only the top 25 participants will get a chance to be a part of the first cycle of program. The International University of Sarajevo has provided all the necessary support and made their resources available so that the project could be successfully implemented.
