More than two hundred of IUS students, their family members and friends gathered in IUS Conference Hall on December 28th 2009 to attend the second Film & Video Festival that was organized under the auspices of Visual Arts and Communication Design Program of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
The Festival was opened by Assistant Professor Zinka Bejtic, VACD program coordinator, after which attendees had an opportunity to watch around 100 student works in the categories of graphic design (that attracted the most of the student works – 50), animation, commercials and short movies.
The second part of the Festival was reserved for the Award ceremony. The awards were presented and delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Günes and were assigned as it follows:
Best graphic design: Irma Žmiric
Best animation: Tarik Jašarevic
Best stop animation: Muhammet Abdulsamet Bakir
Best commercial: Rumeysa Temiz
Best short film: Ahmet Erdem and Bilal Çakmak
Best actor: Ahmet Faruk Kiliç
