At the Empirical Studies in Psychology (EIP) conference held in Belgrade on March 30, Senior Assistant Faruk Obuća was awarded the prestigious Best Early-Stage Researcher Paper recognition for 2024, presented by the editorial board of the journal Psihologija.
The awarded paper, titled "The Combined Role of Metacognition and Mindfulness in Social Anxiety Symptoms: A Path Model," was co-authored by Senior Assistant Faruk Obuća, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orkun Aydın, Asst. Prof. Dr. Süleyman Çakıroğlu, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Ünal-Aydın. This impactful research sheds light on how metacognitive and mindfulness processes interact to influence social anxiety, offering valuable insight into psychological mechanisms that can improve mental well-being.
In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Obuća expressed gratitude to the journal’s editorial board on behalf of the co-authors and emphasized that this award serves as a strong encouragement to continue research that aims to enrich people's lives.
