On Friday, May 23, 2025, in a move to deepen international academic ties, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and Muş Alparslan University of Türkiye officially signed a Protocol on Academic Cooperation. This agreement lays the foundation for long-term scientific, educational, and cultural collaboration between the two institutions.

The Muş Alparslan University delegation, led by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, IUS Rector; Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Krupalija, Coordinator of the IUS Double Diploma Coordination Center (DDCC); and Mr. Mugdim Alihodžić, Manager of the IUS International Relations Office (IRO).

The newly signed protocol aims to foster joint research, academic exchange, and the co-development of educational strategies. It outlines a comprehensive framework to enhance collaboration among faculty, researchers, experts, and students from both universities.

Rooted in a shared commitment to strengthening research capabilities and driving academic innovation, the agreement enables both institutions to share expertise, conduct collaborative studies, and publish joint research. It also encourages the exchange of best practices in teaching and learning, while promoting the joint organization of academic events and scientific forums.

Beyond academic goals, this partnership reflects a broader vision of cross-border engagement and cultural connection. By bridging institutions in Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the agreement is a meaningful step toward creating a more inclusive and globally connected academic environment.
