Embarking on Exchange: Highlights from the IUS Erasmus+ Orientation Meeting

IUS Erasmus+ Orientation Meeting

On Monday, January 8, 2024, an Orientation meeting was held for 23 IUS Erasmus+ outgoing students. These students are set to engage in spring semester exchanges at partner universities across Erasmus+ partner countries, including Spain, Germany, Turkey, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania.

During the meeting, students were briefed on essential documentation, potential technical challenges during the exchange, post-mobility procedures for timely recognition at their home institution, potential cultural clashes, and the benefits of participating in the Buddy System for International Students at the host university. The session also covered information about the ESN Network, personal and professional development opportunities, networking, and cultural awareness for IUS Erasmus+ students.

As a special guest, an incoming Erasmus student shared his exchange experience at IUS, emphasizing the advantages of the 'Buddy System' as crucial support during the program's initial stages.

We extend our best wishes to all outgoing exchange students for a successful mobility period and hope they will represent IUS admirably.
