President of the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF), Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu and the President of the IUS Board of Trustees, Ms. Sevgi Kurtulmuş hosted a meeting with Mr. Yücel Yılmaz, Mayor of the Balıkesir Büyükşehir Municipality and Ms. Maimunah Mohd Sharif, Executive Director of UN-HABITAT in the IUS Istanbul Office premises.
The distinguished guests paid this courtesy visit on the occasion of attending an introductory meeting regarding the organization of the World Habitat Day, which will be marked on October 3 all over the world. This year’s celebration will be held in Balıkesir, Turkiye, under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and hosted by Balıkesir Büyükşehir Municipality. The celebration with the theme of "Leave No One Behind" will be organized with the help of the Habitat directorate, and the support of the Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Mr. Murat Kurum and Ms. Emine Erdoğan.
