Around 100 participants from madrasas and high-schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region took part in the 5th International competition on Sira “SELAM TEBI”- the biographical information on Prophet Muhammed SWT that was hosted by the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on Thursday, May 11, 2023. The top 100 candidates, who reached the final round of the competition, competed for a very valuable price – Umrah trip for three best candidates from each of the madrasas/schools that took part in Thursday’s competition.
The competition was organized by the Riyaset of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Directorate of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye.
Sira is a full examination, in chronological order of the background, life and the mission of the Prophet Muhammad SWT. Drawn from the earliest sources, it offers, an account of the historical circumstances and personalities most important in the foundation of Islam.
