'Venice through the eye of an architect'

'Venice through the eye of an architect'

For the first time Architecture Program at IUS had opened photo exhibition of students' work titled 'Venice through the eye of an architect' that took place in the main atrium of university building between 11th and 20th of December 2012. The topic was chosen based on the field trip to the world famous Biennale di Venzia where group of IUS architecture students and staff members had a chance to see contemporary architecture exhibit and historical core of Venice.

As a result of the variety of interesting designs presented at Biennale architecture staff proposed a photography competition for the participants of this trip. In order to understand architecture, students should learn how to observe and document built environment and this trip was a good opportunity for it.

Through the lens, an Architect is able to focus on interesting and inspiring characteristics and elements of buildings and this exhibition shows students' perspective of Venice city and Biennale. Among the great selection of exhibited photographs top three were chosen and awarded.
