UNDP granted project to strengthen knowledge transfer between BiH and Diaspora

IUS is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for Diaspora for Development (D4D) project, which aims to increase socioeconomic opportunities and perspectives for people in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and strengthen the role of BiH Diaspora in development processes in BiH. IUS will work hand in hand with diaspora and private economic sectors to ensure transfer of technical know-how and skills. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadziabdic is the project coordinator and Dr. Mirza Popovac from Austrian Institute of Technology is Diaspora expert. Three workshops will be organized at IUS in the framework of the project on OpenFOAM, open source CFD tool. The project aim is knowledge transfer through training of engineers from local companies in applying advance technologies in their company operations. On May 21-22, the first training session took place at IUS with participants from four partner engineering companies: ENOVA, Interclima Sarajevo, Tensor Technology, and Invento Pro.
