Two master's theses were successfully defended at IUS

On Thursday, 25th of August, 2016. students of second cycle program in Genetics and Bioengineering, Lejla Halilovic and Nour Hamad, successfully defended their master's thesis.

Lejla Halilović worked in her master's thesis with her mentor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sabina Semiz on "Analysis of IRS1 Genetic Variations in Type 2 Diabetic Patients from Bosnia and Herzegovina", while Nour Hamad's master's thesis was titled "Genetic variation of ADRA2A in Type 2 diabetes” and was also supervised by Prof. Semiz.

Both students effectively presented their findings and answered to the questions of the Committee that included Prof. Dr. Adlija Čaušević, University of Sarajevo, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragab Abdel Gawwad, and their supervisor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sabina Semiz.
