Thousands of Children from BiH at Children's Festival in Zenica

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, the Children's Festival was held for the fifth time in Zenica, organized by Yunus Emre Institute in BiH.

More than 6000 people attended this year’s children’s festival. Thousands of primary school students from seven BiH cantons who study Turkish as part of the program “My choice is Turkish” had an opportunity to enjoy the diverse entertainment and culture program with BiH artist Hari Mata Hari and actress İ. Damla Güvenilir. The day in Zenica went by in good mood and was marked by the laughter of children.

Deputy director of Yunus Emre Institute Emre Mustafa Yıldız said: "This holiday is not only the sovereignty day, it is also the children’s day. There are so many holidays but there no days dedicated to children. This holiday does not only belong to children in Turkey, it belongs to BiH as well, and we hope to share this holiday with all the children of the world."

As the represtentatives of the International University of Sarajevo, IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe and Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Mustafa Bal also attended the festival.
