Successful Defense of Doctoral Dissertation

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meliha Teparić successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on September 19, 2016 at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, History of Art Department, titled “Analysis of Calligraphic Panels of Bosnian Calligraphers from the 18th to mid-20th century.” The dissertation explores calligraphy art heritage in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She defended her dissertation before the following Committee Members: Prof. Dr. Sc. Ćazim Hadžimejlić (University of Sarajevo), Prof. Dr. Sc. Tatjana Paić-Vukić (Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts - HAZU), Prof. Dr. Sc. Sanja Cvetinić (Faculty of Humanity and Social Sciences) and Dr. Danko Šourek, (Faculty of Humanity and Social Sciences).

Meliha Teparić graduated from the High School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo, Department of Textile Design, in 1996. In 2002, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Department of Painting. In 2007, dr. Teparić received her master's degree in painting. In 2010, she started with her doctoral program at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Humanity and Social Sciences, History of Art Department.
