The success of Erasmus+ exchange program

International University of Sarajevo (IUS) succeeded in increasing its international recognition of new forms of education and research and mobility of students and staff in academic 2014/2015 year. From January to June of 2015, 13 Erasmus+ bilateral agreements on cooperation were signed with foreign universities that support exchange of students and academic staff. The first cooperation agreement was established with the West University of Timisoara in Romania for academic year of 2015/2016. Scholarships are provided for economics, management, bioengineering and genetics field: 

  • 1 Bachelor scholarship (5 months), the scholarship amount is € 3930
  • 1 Master scholarship (5 months), the scholarship amount is € 3930
  • 1 PhD scholarship (5 months), the scholarship amount is € 3930
  • 2 administrative staff scholarships (5 days) at € 1,160. 

With this initiative, IUS students and professors are enabled to go abroad on a study trip that is funded within the Erasmus+ program. Thanks to the aforementioned agreement in the coming academic year arrival of foreign students and professors is expected. Among other bilateral Erasmus+ agreements IUS signed agreements also with renowned Turkish universities such as ''TOBB'' University, ''Hacettepe'' University, ''Gazai'' University etc.  International Relations Office will continue to work on making international cooperation agreements in the future.
