Students take gifts to Children's Home Bjelave

Sarajevo, November 24th 2009

Following the food exhibition organized on Friday, November 20th 2009, that had an aim to gather enough money to buy gifts for the children without parental care living at the Children's Home Bjelave, members of the International Relations Club, students Mr. Oğuzhan Gedik and Miss. Enisa Begić, visited this institution and delivered the gifts for its protegees.

On the advice of Mr. Amir Zelić, general manager of the Children's Home Bjelave, gifts included things that children in this institution need the most such as different types of fruits and baby cosmetics. To the children's satisfaction, candies and toys were also bought.

After these humble gifts were delivered, Mr. Zelić guided guests from the IUS through the Children's Home Bjelave, showing them departments where children are accommodated, as well as introducing them to the activities of the Home. As Mr. Zelić said, currently 106 children of all ages are living at the Children's Home, out of which 20 are babies.

„We are delighted to be able to, with these small acts of kindness, make Eid-ul-Adha holiday times nicer for those who are the most sensitive in our society, children“ said Mr. Gedik.
