Students from the Netherlands visit IUS

On Tuesday, May 4, 2010, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of International University of Sarajevo hosted a group of 40 political science students and staff from the Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands. The guests from the Netherlands were welcomed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhidin Mulalić, program coordinator for the Social and Political Sciences who introduced them with the newly built IUS Campus in Ilidža.

In order to give more insight into our University and Bosnia and Herzegovina, guests were showed short documentary movie about IUS in the Aphitheater. Special lecture by Dr. Bisera Turković, IUS lecturer and former Bosnian Ambassador to United States, on the topic of “Post-Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina: Challenges and Prospects” was also prepared for the guest where they had the possibility to learn more about the recent history of Bosnia and Herzegovina and current situation.

As the visit came to an end, humble gifts of appreciation were exchanged between the IUS and the guests from the Radboud University Nijmegen, with the invitation to continue with the cooperation in the future as well.
