A student from the elite Sciences Po Institute in Paris doing internship at IUS

International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is making continuous efforts to expand cooperation and enhance established relationships with universities across Europe and the world. In this way, IUS wants to provide his students with opportunities for the acquisition of knowledge, skills and experience, as well as the enrichment of student life. In addition to all the benefits that such a dynamic approach to higher education brings, in the end, the young people are provided with greater prospects for permanent employment. The University also provides the opportunity for foreign students who want to gain experience, meet new international environment and to be active part of the IUS.

In the framework of the established cooperation, IUS has, for the first time in the history of the University, enabled one student of master studies from the prestigious Institute of Political Sciences in Paris Sciences Po http://www.sciencespo.fr/en, Miss Julie Biez to perform during

2016 one-semester internship at IUS. For the next 4 months the student will work all day on the regular activities of the Office of International Cooperation IUS. In addition, student Biez will also work on developing modalities, means of communication and empowerment of initiatives, concerning the establishment of long-term student collaboration and connectivity IUS with higher education institutions, especially with those from French-speaking countries.

Also, student Biez will be actively involved in the development of common cultural and research projects under the mentorship and collaboration of Assist. Prof. Dr. Aliye Mataraci, coordinator of the Program of Social and Political Sciences of the IUS. The aim of joint projects is to connect the cities of Paris, Beirut and Sarajevo, through a university exchange of experiences in a time of modern studies and to promote trilateral cooperation of these distinctly different cities in Europe and Asia, through potential of multi-disciplinary programs.

Sciences Po is an elite French higher education institution which is extremely open to the world, which in 2015 ranked fifth in the world in the field of political and international studies, and as the first in continental Europe. The Institute was founded in 1872, and in the course of its history schooled many famous and prominent personalities in the field of law, economics, philosophy, history, business, literature, media and politics, including four former president of France. Also, about 28 former or current presidents in the world, studied or taught at Sciences Po, as well as many heads of international organizations and successful companies.
