Seminar on Addictions among students held at IUS

Seminar on the topic ''Addictions among students in primary and secondary schools and students of higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina'' was held at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on Tuesday February 24, 2015. The organizer of the seminar was Green Crescent Society in BiH, while co-organizer was IUS. The main focus of the seminar was to present all significant elements relevant for scientific approach to research. 

Prof. Dr. Redžo Čaušević, President of the Green Crescent Society in BiH opened the event with welcoming words along with Secretary General of IUS, Emir Hadžikadunić, on behalf of the co-organizer of this seminar. Hadžikadunić emphasized that young people should have only one addiction, and that addiction is to thrive to gain new knowledge, to learn and read, and he invited them to come to IUS and enter the testing for scholarships exam on March 20. All those who take the exam can thereby show their true commitment to education. 

Speakers at the seminar were: Prof. Dr. Sait Kačapor, Professor at the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences and President of the Board of The Green Crescent in BiH, Šeila Cilović-Lagarija, Expert in development of health statistics, Dr. Zaim Jatić, family medicine specialist and Assist. Prof. Kenan Ademović, Doctor of Juridical Sciences. 

Participants of the seminar were directors, teachers and experts from primary and secondary schools and faculties of the Universities in Sarajevo Canton. Seminar was aimed to present the general public's work program for 2015, which includes the main project with five sub-projects, in five different areas of the implementation, and implementation is expected in the next five years. The work program as well as the main project are part of the Strategy 100 + 100 + 10, whose details were presented at the seminar.
