Second generation of graduates receive their diplomas on June 19, 2010

Second generation of 120 graduates of 11 study programs from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) received their diplomas on a special ceremony organized on Saturday, June 19, 2010. The ceremony was held on IUS Campus outer terrace and gathered several hundreds of guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad.

The ceremony was opened by the Rector Prof. Dr. Hilmi Ünlü who gave audience a short introduction and history of IUS. He was followed by the speeches of Prof. Dr. Adem Baştürk, president of the IUS Board of Trustees and Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu, president of the Foundation for education development Sarajevo (SEDEF). Mayor of the Ilidža Municipality, Mr. Amer Ćenanović also addressed the guests saying that this municipality is proud to have a University such as IUS.

Program continued with the awards for the graduates who accomplished the highest GPA at the University during their studies - Ms. Emina Aličković and Mrs. Habibe Ucpunar from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences and Ms. Amila Krzović from the Faculty of Business Administration.

The official part of the ceremony ended with the handing out of diplomas by Faculty Deans and Program Coordinators to the graduate students.

As the ceremony came to an end, academics, students, their families and friends had an opportunity to attend the reception and enjoy the concert of a famous Bosnian opera singer Mrs. Lejla Jusić.
