Opening of the exhibition “Memories of Hz. Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi” took place in the Gallery Preporod on December 19th, as group exhibition work of 18 artists that presented 40 art pieces. One Turkish, one Macedonian and 16 Bosnian artists celebrated the spirituality of love inherent to the works of Rumi.
Our Senior Assistant Roman Sulejmapasic, MFA was one of the Bosnian artists that exhibited the works dedicated to this great poet and philosopher. His artwork consists of three figure art sculptures representing the phenomenon of memories, remembering and spiritual forces of love.
Turkish cultural attaché, Soner Sahin, opened the exhibition, pointing out that this event is making stronger relations between Bosnia and Turkey, remanding the audience of the “significance of the name Rumi: love, friendship and longing”. Sulejmanpasics’s works are exuberant and expressive in the idea of the said phenomenon, transcending them to the aesthetical levels of contemplation and emotional spirituality.
