Round table discussion with representatives of the CIP

Delegation of the Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education (CIP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on Monday, May 25, 2015. The delegation consisted of Dragana Dilber, Assistant Director of the Center, Dženan Omanović, Head of the Department for Information and Cooperation and Mirta Mandić Martinović, Associate for Recognition of Qualifications. CIP Representatives gave a presentation and introduced IUS representatives with current problems in the field of recognition of qualifications, as well as the need of harmonization of procedures for recognition at the state and entity levels in BiH. This Roundtable discussion is of great importance in terms of practical application of international legal documents as well as the existing legal legislation in this field. 

IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, expressed his appreciation for the visit of the representatives of CIP, and informed them about the current activities of IUS in terms of enrollment also significant number of international students at IUS. Rector Oğurlu praised the commitment and efforts of CIP in the overall work with IUS, for overcoming the administrative barriers at recognizing and facilitating bureaucratic obstacles in this segment. Roundtable was attended by Secretary General of the IUS, Emir Hadžikadunić, Deputy Secretary General for Legal Affairs, Jahja Imamović, Faculty Secretaries and representatives of the Student Affairs Office and Student Center of IUS.
