"The Role of Dramatists in Enacting Positive Social Change" held on IUS

The conference " The Role of Dramatists in Enacting Positive Social Change " was held on 17th of May at IUS Conference room.

Dr. Naum Panovski spoke about his experiences as a theatre director and of the freedom that every man should feel in the work he does. He addressed important issues in the art of drama, such as the role of the director in theatre and how theatre can have a positive effect in our contemporary society. Students and professors asked provocative questions after the lecture was over and engaged in a lively discussion with Dr. Panovski.

Naum Panovski is a professional theatre director and dramaturge. He is also a professor of acting, directing, and criticism. His experience includes directorial and dramaturgical work on more than fifty plays produced by professional theatres in the countries of former Yugoslavia, and may cities in Europe, and in the USA. He has contributed numerous articles to various publications, participated on panels and symposia, and served on boards and in other artistic leadership positions. He is currently a Fulbright fellow touring and lecturing in the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
