Promotion of the project publication "Application of Educational Recommendations as a Form of Restorative Justice in Sarajevo Canton, for the period 2012-2015"

 

Successful completion of the project, co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, Canton Sarajevo.

On October 25, 2019, the Office for Sponsored Projects (OSP) and the Center for Human Rights and Transitional Justice at the International University of Sarajevo organized a promotion of the project publication entitled "Application of Educational Recommendations as a Form of Restorative Justice in the Canton of Sarajevo, for the period 2012-2015 ", which was co-authored by Dr. Ena Kazic, an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law at IUS, Dr. Dževad Mahmutovic, an Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Tuzla and Mirza Ljubovic, MA, a Senior Assistant at the Faculty of Law at IUS.

Prof. Dr. Aliye Mataraci, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, International University of Sarajevo, opened this important event. The promoters of the publication were Ms. Jasmina Kosovic, retired judge, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Kenan Ademovic. This scientific gathering was well attended by representatives of the academic community, judicial institutions, and students.

This publication is the result of the project, which was co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, Canton Sarajevo. The assistant professor, Dr. Ena Kazic, was the project coordinator. The aim of the project was to establish a legal framework for educational recommendations and the quality and quality of their implementation (i.e., detection of public awareness, types, offenses, and perpetrators) and to address the difficulties encountered by the competent authorities while trying to implement them.

The promoters emphasized the significance of this publication, which represents an exceptional scientific contribution as it helps in understanding the importance of educational recommendations, difficulties during their implementation, and can contribute to eliminating these difficulties in practice.
