Project Management Office (PMO)

Project Management Office (PMO) opened at IUS

During the past 12 years, International University of Sarajevo (IUS) has worked tirelessly to thrive as a vigorous intellectual community and to create a reputation that reflects its achievements. IUS is committed to connecting East and West as well as ensuring academic quality and standards. With the growing student population and already having enrolled over 2,000 students, IUS management has felt the need to focus on projects and project management. Projects are meant to produce unique products, services and results, which will further build IUS’s reputation as a successful research institution and center of higher education. Therefore, IUS established a new office within the Research and Development Center (RDC) that will work on managing all the aspects of the project under the supervision of Project Manager, Ms. Nađa Beglerović. She has extensive knowledge of project management, which she acquired while working on numerous projects in the field of higher education in the United States. The role of the Project Management Office is to further improve the level of project management at IUS, obtain new projects, establish project methodologies, and to track and support implementation of projects. Thus far, IUS has had a wide range of successful projects.

Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Gürsel, oversees the Project Management Office (PMO) and other IUS centers, such as the Research and Development Center (RDC), IUS Life Long Center and Leadership and Entrepreneurship Center. All of the units are improving project capacities, research and informal training activities, international and regional cooperation of IUS, and the Project Management Office will track all the issues.
