Professors from the Faculty of Law on Erasmus+ exchange in Turkey

Assistant Professor Dr. Emir Sudžuka and Assist. Professor Goran Šimić, from the Faculty of Law at IUS, participated in Erasmus + exchange Programme and visited Istanbul Commerce University in the beginning of March, 2016. Professor Emir Sudžuka was hosted by Prof. Dr. Sukru Yildiz, chair of Private Law Department and Res. Assist. Zehra Badak Aybar, LLM. During his stay he held two lectures – the scientific area of Business/ Commercial Law and the topics were: The legal framework of Corporate Governance in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union, and Capital Markets Law in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union.

Professor Goran Šimić was hosted by Prof. Dr. Ali Kemal Yildiz, Professor of Criminal Law and Res. Assist. Erdem Izzet KÜLÇÜR. During his stay he held two lectures – the scientific area of Criminal Law and the topics were: War Crimes Trials in Bosnia and Herzegovina: The Quest for Justice, and The position of victim in criminal proceedings of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Participating in Erasmus + exchange Programme for both Professors was a great opportunity to experience the international practice of teaching at renewable Institution. They exchanged experiences with colleagues, professors teaching at this University about the higher education system in different countries and about the scientific area and field of expertise. Together, they arranged common academic activities including joint research, scientific papers and conferencess. Professors say that it was an incredible honor to give a lecture to foreign students about the important issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This exchange was realized thanks to the IUS grant from Erasmus+ Programme in December 2015.
