Orientation Day for Outgoing Erasmus+ Exchange Students

On Thursday, December 21, 2017, the IUS International Relations Office organized an Orientation Day for its outgoing students who will take part in the ERASMUS+ Exchange program in the spring semester of 2017/2018 academic year.  60 students who are about to take a step into the new experience will visit 10 different countries. International Relations Officer Zühal Güvener gave an engaging and detailed presentation about the benefits of exchange.

The highlight of the event were the „IUS Exchange Ambassadors“ – former exchange students who generously shared their experiences with their collegues.  They took the stage and gave thorough advice on what exchange students could expect from their visit, how they should organize their time and activities. As Samra Hodžić, former exchange student to Turkey said, ERASMUS+ exchange changed her immensly and opened the door for new exchange experiences and internship opportunities. Iman Hasanbegović, a student who went on exchange to Poland, enthusiastically called upon her colleagues to apply for exchange as she said this is a „once-in-a-lifetime chance.“

The IRO staff pledged their full support to all exchange students during their stay abroad and called upon them to keep them informed of their activities and potential problems. The Orientation Day was wrapped up by symbolic gifts that were delivered to each attendee of the event.
