New "Ambassador Talk Session" held with Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH

H.E. Cihad Erginay, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina, gave a public lecture on the ”Turkish-Bosnian Relations: A Socio-Cultural and Economic Dimension". This lecture was a part of the 9th consecutive “Ambassador Talk Session”, organized by the International Relations Office (IRO) of the International University of Sarajevo, on Thursday, October 23, 2014.

IUS amphitheater was too small to accommodate all guests, professors and students at this lecture. All those that attended have shown a great interest in hearing interesting insights from the Turkish Ambassador whose origins are closely related to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo. Ambassador Erginay spoke briefly of historical and cultural links of two friendly countries, from the time of the Ottoman Empire to this day. He also elaborated on economic, political and cultural ties between two countries and emphasized on various investment projects from Turkish side, including the International University of Sarajevo.

Ambassador stated that Turkey is a great friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he is the only ambassador that is more concerned about the export from B&H to his country than import from Turkey to B&H. Ambassador Erginay ended his lecture by answering few questions from the audience on future economic opportunities and Turkish support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Euro-Atlantic integrations.
