More than 300 guests at the Iftar

Ramadan is considered a month when good people meet. It is a month for forgiveness, cleansing of heart of impurity and negligence. In the spirit of Ramadan International University of Sarajevo (IUS), organized a traditional iftar for employees, teachers and students of IUS, but also a number of different guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Distinguished guests who attended came from political, cultural and economic life of Bosnia and Herzegovina, international guests, partners and associates who in the course of the past 11 years have provided generous support to the development of the University. IUS Rector, Prof. dr. Yücel Oğurlu welcomed the guests on behalf of the host of iftar. 

Reminding that Ramadan is a month of fasting when Muslims around the world use its time for spiritual purification, prayer, solidarity and compassion among people, Rector Oğurlu pointed out that this was the main motive of this solemn event, and added that this is the month of mercy and no one should forget the people in crisis areas around the world, as well as the poor and hungry. Among many guests at the iftar were also present representatives of institutions and companies such as the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Palestinian Embassy in BiH, the Centar Municipality, the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance, Turkish Ziraat Bank, TIKA and the Federal Employment Service, The Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton.
