On Wednesday, April 4, 2019, a memorandum of understanding was signed by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, rector of International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and Safudin Čengić, president of Sarajevo Canton Employers’ Association, with an aim to share information and implement activities in line with the local Higher Education Law; in particular, the memorandum signed with the Employers’ Association will increase our University’s capacity to provide students with practical classes and internships in private companies.

The signing ceremony was held at the IUS premises in presence of the representatives of both parties. On behalf of IUS, the ceremony was attended by the IUS Secretary General Armin Kerić, Deputy Secretary General Jahja Imamović and IUS Career Center Manager Indira Hasanović. The agreement was made to enhance and promote cooperation between the IUS and the member companies, to enable practice for students and internships as part of their formal education.  The cooperation will include sharing recommendations and technical support to connect students with the employers, but also coordinating, collecting and sharing information between the IUS and the companies, as well as all other activities necessary for successful cooperation. Students of IUS who take part in the activities are expected to perform in an appropriate and responsible way.
